The Fantastic Four movie is expanding its cast roster, adding Ralph Ineson as Galactus, and John Malkovich in an unknown role. February’s surprise announcement already teased the new Fantastic Four, and Julia Garner (Ozark, Inventing Anna) was recently added to the cast as Silver Surfer, rounding out an already stacked roster.
Pedro Pascal is Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby is Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn is Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach is Ben Grimm (aka the Thing).
Ineson is well-known for his work on The Office as antagonist Chris Finch, and now that he’ll be playing Galactus, a cosmic entity who consumes planets to sustain his life force, the Fantastic Four will have a bigger threat on their hands.
Academy Award-winning actor Malkovich has an impressive resume, and is most known for his work on Dangerous Liaisons and Being John Malkovich. He would’ve entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) much earlier as Vulture if not for Spider-Man 4 being cancelled, but the actor is finally ready to enter the Marvel universe.
The Fantastic Four might be more than a year away when it opens on 25 July 2025, but we’re excited to see what it brings to the MCU.
