Mass Effect Legendary Edition Is Best Played On PC With A 21:9 Ultrawide Screen

The Mass Effect Legendary Edition has finally landed on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. So which is the best version to play? In our books, if a game supports native 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratios, then the PC version is a clear choice. After all, PC Master Race right?

Mass Effect Legendary Edition includes the same single-player content and all DLC from Mass EffectMass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3, plus promo weapons, armors, and packs – all remastered and optimized for 4K Ultra HD.

See it for yourself with some PC ultrawide 3440×1440 resolution gameplay footage of all 3 games below. The game is running on an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti with all effects enabled. One thing to note though, the cutscenes are still locked at 16:9 aspect ratio, so you’ll see black bars on the right and left sides. But all gameplay portions of the game are in full 21:9.

We’ve even received the Legendary Edition Cache last month and unboxed it:

BioWare’s Mass Effect Legendary Edition is out now on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with forward compatibility and targeted enhancements on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, as well as PC via Origin and Steam.
