Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Will Now Allow Save Transfers From PS4 To PS5

With Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales releasing on both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, some might have been wondering about the possibility of transferring your save files from the PS4 to the newer PS5. Well, it has now been confirmed that the game will indeed allow file transfers from the PS4 to the PS5.

The news came via James Stevenson, Community Director at Insomniac Games, on Twitter. When asked if players will be able to do save file transfers when they upgrade to the PS5 from the PS4, Stevenson succinctly answered with a “Yup!”

Insomniac Games has later confirmed this on their official Twitter, adding that more details will be shared closer to the game’s launch.

So now you can rest easy and buy the PS4 edition of the game first, knowing that you will be able to make the switch from PS4 to PS5 later on with all your progress still intact. You will also be able to upgrade to the PS5 version of the game for free if you purchase the PS4 version of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the PS5 remaster for Marvel’s Spider-Man, which, bizarrely, does not allow the transfer of save files and will not come with a free upgrade.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will release on the PS4 and PS5 on 12 November 2020.
