When it comes to turn-based strategy games, the folks over at Firaxis Games definitely know what they are doing. Combine that expertise with the extensive Marvel universe, and Marvel’s Midnight Suns look set to be a roaring good time. At Summer Game Fest 2022, a brand new trailer for the game was released, and more importantly, we know that Marvel’s Midnight Suns has a 7 October release date.
Not only will the game be available in just a few months on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch, but the forces of evil will have to contend themselves with fighting Spider-Man. Newly revealed, the web-slinger will be played by Yuri Lowenthal, whose voice will be familiar to all that have played Insomniac’s Spider-Man games.
In the game, players will take on Lilith, the Mother of Demons, who will also be corrupting familiar faces like Venom, Sabertooth, Scarlet Witch, and the Hulk, to do her bidding. Taking on the role of a new and original superhero known as The Hunter, it will be up to players to assemble the resistance against Lilith and Hydra. The likes of Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and Blade will be some of the numerous Marvel heroes available to fill out a team.

Ahead of the release of Marvel’s Midnight Suns, we now know that there will be several editions available to players:
- The Standard Edition will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. It includes the base game;
- The Enhanced Edition will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It includes a next-gen optimized version of the game for next-gen consoles and five premium cosmetic skins;
- The Digital+ Edition will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. It includes 11 premium cosmetic skins. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S SKUs include the next-gen optimized version of the game for next-gen consoles;
- The Legendary Edition will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. It includes 23 premium cosmetic skins, as well as access to the post-launch Marvel’s Midnight Suns Season Pass.
We now have ample time to prepare for the release of Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and some hard work will be needed if the forces of good are to come out on top this coming 7 October.
