Marvel’s ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’ With Kathryn Hahn Appears To Be Part Musical

It’s been slightly over two years since we’ve had the catchy tune ‘Agatha All Along’ stuck in our heads. According to an interview with Patti LuPone (American Horror Story, Penny Dreadful), it sounds like we can expect more earworms with the return of Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness in the WandaVision spin-off Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos Musical

LuPone, who is playing 450-year-old Sicilian witch Lilia Calderu in the Disney+ Marvel series, noted that Agatha: Coven of Chaos will feature original musical pieces. Hahn will lead a coven of witches into song while LuPone sings backup.

The actress also divulged that WandaVision songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez have returned as songwriters for the show. As the duo were responsible for writing the Emmy-worthy, fan favourite song ‘Agatha All Along’, this would mean more catchy tunes that will latch onto our brains once again.

The release date of Agatha: Coven of Chaos has not been revealed, and story details remain under wraps still. Fans eagerly waiting for the return of Agatha Harkness can hope that Marvel will work their magic and release the show by the end of the year or early 2024. WandaVision creator Jac Schaeffer is serving as writer and executive producer, with male lead Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Sasheer Zamata, and Debra Jo Rupp set to join Hahn and LuPone on the cast list.
