Marvel Studios Looking For Ways To Bring Keanu Reeves into The MCU, Confirms Kevin Feige

The MCU might have a number of A-listers filling its roster of heroes, but one star it does not have is Keanu Reeves. Fortunately, it seems Marvel Studios has been actively looking to solve this as Kevin Feige has revealed in an interview with ComicBook.com that the studio is constantly looking ways to fit Reeves into the MCU.

In the interview, Feige was asked about whether he had spoken with Reeves about getting involved in a Marvel film. Feige indicated that Marvel Studios has been in regular talks about Reeves joining the MCU.

“We talk to him for almost every film we make,” Feige shared. “We talk to Keanu Reeves about. I don’t know when, if, or ever he’ll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.”

For a comparison, Feige noted that the studio had also spoken with Jake Gyllenhaal a number of times before they finally slotted him into the perfect role for him, Mysterio, for the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Reeves is currently having an amazingly successful 2019, having starred in John Wick 3 and making an appearance in Netflix’s rom-com Always Be My Maybe where the actor starred as himself.

The actor will also feature in Toy Story 4 which opens on June 20, and is making waves with his surprise appearance at Microsoft’s E3 2019 presentation where he promoted his involvement with CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077. Cue an audience member calling the movie star “breathtaking” and you have this viral sensation.

Reeves is on a roll and it seems like he won’t be stopping anytime soon.

Other fan-favourite actors Feige was asked about included Ip Man’s Donnie Yen and Stranger Things‘ Milli Bobby Brown but while he called them both “good actors”, he said that there was not anything specific in the pipeline for them as of yet.

According to IGN, there are currently unconfirmed rumours that suggests we may see Reeves star in The Eternals alongside Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, and Richard Madden.

Marvel Studios will be announcing more information on its upcoming movie projects later this summer so here’s hoping we’ll get to learn more about Reeve’s possible involvement with the MCU then.
