Lovecraft Country‘s Misha Green is making her feature directorial debut with MGM and is set to take on Lara Croft on another Tomb Raider adventure.
Green shared her excitement about the project on Twitter, teasing fans and fellow gamers about the storyline.
“My fav from classic era is Legend & from survival era it’s a tie between Rise & Shadow,” Green wrote. “Who’s as excited as I am for a @TombRaiderMovie!?!?”
Tomb Raider may be Green’s feature theatrical debut, but the creator met huge success with HBO’s Lovecraft Country and is currently working on a number of projects including Netflix’s The Mother, Warner Brothers’Cleopatra Jones and Makeready’s The Gilded Ones.
The Tomb Raider sequel will see Alicia Vikander returning once again to reprise her role as Lara Croft. Now that Green is officially attached to the sequel, let’s hope the movie will finally get a release date after being delayed indefinitely.
Don’t judge a book by its cover, for behind all this makeup, is a geek just like you. To simply put it, superheroes, Star Wars, Harry Potter and all things gore and creepy makes this girly girl swoon.
