Locke and Key Renewed For Season 3 At Netflix

Netflix’s Locke and Key live-action adaptation has been renewed for a third season, months ahead of the premiere of the series’ second season in mid-2021.

Aside from that, co-showrunner Meredith Averill has also signed on an overall deal with Netflix to create other projects on the streaming platform. As such, she will be returning for the series’ third season, as will Carlton Cuse.

“We have some incredible adventures in store for the Locke family in season three, and could not be more excited to continue telling our story with our great partners at Netflix,” said Cuse in a statement.

The series is based on the comic book series of the same by Joe Hill and Gabrielle Rodriguez and follows the three Locke siblings who move into their ancestral home, the Keyhouse with their mother following the mysterious murder of their father. The siblings soon discover the Keyhouse is filled with magical keys that might reveal the secret of their father’s death. 

Locke and Key stars Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Jackson Robert Scott, Darby Stanchfield, Laysla De Oliveira, Aaron Ashmore, Petrice Jones, and Griffin Gluck.
