Live-Action Y: The Last Man Lead Barry Keoghan Departs Series

Our wait for the live-action TV adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan’s award-winning comic book series Y: The Last Man might get a little longer as series lead Barry Keoghan has left the project.

Collider reports that Keoghan (Dunkirk), who was initially cast as the role of the main character Yorick, will no longer be part of the FX series, simply titled Y, and the role will have to be recast.

However, the rest the principal cast, including the likes of Diane Lane (Batman v Superman), Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel, No Time To Die), Juliana Canfield (Succession) and Marin Ireland (Girls, Homeland) are all still set to star on the show.

No word from the showrunners nor producers regarding the recasting of Yorick has been announced as of yet.

Despite the lack of a lead role, Y still looks set to premiere in late 2020.
