While it is hardly a well-kept secret, we do know that Hangar 13 has been hard at work developing the next entry in the Mafia franchise after Mafia III. Rumours and speculation soon gave way to new trademarks that more or less ensures we will be seeing a new entry. However, a reveal might just be on the horizon.
As part of 2K Games’ latest earnings report, the publisher revealed to investors that the company will soon go public with two upcoming projects, one being Hangar 13’s next game. The other will come from 2K Silicon Valley, which is being led by former Dead Space Director, Michael Condrey.
Even reliable industry commentator Shinobi602 had his take, stating that announcements of the two games will arrive over “the coming months.”
With this timeframe in mind, it is likely we will be looking at potential PS5/Xbox Series X titles, and even cross-generational games.
Exciting times await, and the next generation needs to come as soon as possible.
