LEGO Reveals Evolution Into Pokémon Sets In 2026

LEGO has checked another big-brand collaboration off its list. As part of a “new multi-year partnership” with The Pokémon Company, the toymaker will “bring the world of Pokémon to life in entirely new ways, allowing fans to build beloved Pokémon in Lego brick form” starting next year.

Pokémon Lego 2026

“Get ready to electrify your imagination in 2026,” reads the announcement post on X/Twitter, with a brief teaser showing a tail built from yellow bricks and confirming a kit based on franchise mascot Pikachu.

Details on the other sets haven’t been revealed, but the FAQ section on LEGO’s website promises to include some well-loved critters: “In 2026, we’re calling all Pokémon Trainers to get ready to build and catch some of their favourite Pokémon!”

The collaboration hardly marks the first brick reimagination of Pokémon, as Mattel’s Mega Bloks and Mega Construx range already have toy sets based on the beloved IP. However, it seems LEGO is taking over the reins moving forward, reinforcing its push into the gaming market and joining previously released sets themed after Sonic the Hedgehog, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Overwatch.

It remains to be seen if the forthcoming collection will include elements outside of its various creatures, such as the regions of each generation (like this impressive fan creation of Gen 3’s Kanto region) or iconic locales across the games and other media. In the meantime, gaming enthusiasts can look forward to more themed creations throughout the year, including a 1,972-piece Mario Kart and a Game Boy set.
