It’s been a while since we’d heard about Back 4 Blood. And for those who have been hungry for more updates on the new title by Turtle Rock Studios, you’ve just been given a little snippet of what’s to come.
In a homage to the recent annual Independence Day celebrations in the US, Turtle Rock dropped a new piece of concept art from Back 4 Blood. This artwork depicts a heavily-fortified structure with the words “HOPE” draped over its front entrance, with what look like zombies shambling toward it near the background.
Though this still doesn’t exactly give us more details about the new title, we do know that Back 4 Blood is a spiritual successor to the iconic Left 4 Dead zombie games from over a decade ago. It will be a “next-gen co-op FPS”, with several elements from modern battle royale games such as Fortnite and Apex Legends sprinkled in.
And speaking of L4D, Valve has ruled out any possibility of a third installment to the franchise being made at all.
