Sony’s Marvel ‘Kraven the Hunter’ Film Casts Fred Hechinger As Villain Chameleon

Fred Hechinger is joining Kraven the Hunter. The White Lotus star will be playing Chameleon in Sony’s next big Marvel film (via Deadline).

Chameleon is an evil master of disguise who also happens to be Kraven’s half-brother. He is also one of the very first supervillains to face Spider-Man in the Marvel comics.

Hechinger joins Aaron Taylor-Johnson who plays the titular character Kraven, as well as Russell Crowe in an undisclosed role.

Aside from White Lotus, Hechinger starred as Simon Kalivoda in all three of Netflix’s Fear Street films and has also appeared in News of the World, The Woman in the Window, The Underground Railroad and Italian Studies. Most recently, Hechinger is playing Seth Warshavsky on Hulu’s Pam and Tommy.

Kraven the Hunter will be directed by J.C. Chandor, with a script by Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Richard Wenk. It is scheduled to release in theaters on 13 January 2023.
