Kevin Feige Rules Marvel Entertainment As New Chief Creative Officer

Marvel Studios is responsible for defining a generation of geekdom, reaching unparalleled heights with their 10-year, 23-film, US$26-billion-grossing Infinity Saga. But if not for one man called Kevin Feige, none of that would have been possible.

According to Deadline, the current President of Marvel Studios has recently moved up to the rank of chief creative officer for Marvel Entertainment. This means that Feige will be in charge of not just calling the shots for Marvel Studios movies and TV shows, but also comic books, where the movies typically take inspiration from.

Having Feige as the creative locus of all things Marvel, it will be an interesting new venture for the multi-billion dollar company, especially for the film franchise, as it moves into its fourth phase.

Having announced a ton of huge Marvel Studios projects at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 and D23 Expo 2019, we can surely expect a ton more content to come from his expansive team.

Provided Disney and Sony can properly bury the hatchet in terms of bringing Spider-Man and Venom to the fray, Marvel Studios will no doubt be a force to reckoned with in the entertainment industry.

Aside from his Marvel duties, Kevin Feige is getting his feet wet in a galaxy far, far away as well, reportedly working on a new Star Wars movie with Lucasfilm. Whether this will be a conflict of interest due to the increase in scope of his work at Marvel Entertainment remains to be seen.
