The Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay is coming to TV.
Written by Michael Chabon, the famous author of The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and Wonder Boys, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay is based on two cousins Sammy Clay and Joe Kavalier. Set in New York City during Hitler’s reign in Europe, the teenage boys spin out tales of fascist-fighting comic book superheroes and embark on an adventure that takes their lives and careers to new heights.
According to Variety, the series commitment is part of a multi-year deal signed with CBS TV. Chabon will serve as the producers of the TV series with his wife, writer Ayelet Waldman.
In a shared statement, the loving-pair said: “We’re looking forward with so much excitement to this next phase of our collaboration.”
Chabon is currently serving as an executive producer on CBS’ All Access series Star Trek: Picard and will transition to run Kavalier and Clay in 2020.
