It’s Time To Pick A Side With Narcos: Rise of the Cartels Game

Narcos, the hit Netflix crime drama based around the life of infamous drug lord Pablo Escobar is now getting a turn-based strategy game. Players will not be able to play out and relive the events of the first season of the Netflix series with Narcos: Rise of the Cartels

In the game, players will have to make an important decision: should they join the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), or take on a role in the Medellin Cartel. Each side will come with its own distinct campaigns, where you either assist the drug empire in its pursuit of domination, with El Patrón himself overseeing your progress, or join Steve Murphy in dismantling the drug cartels.

Narcos: Rise of the Cartels will offer players the ability to control and play a number of iconic and highly recognisable characters from the series, including El Mexicano, Murphy, Primo, and more. Each character will come with their own unique abilities and perks to help you turn the tide of battle.

Units on both sides will also be able to move at the same time, meaning that the pace of the battles will always be ramped up. Though to win the match, be sure to plan your actions wisely as the game ominously notes that “there are always consequences to your actions”.

Before the game is released, you can check out the trailers below to figure out which side you wish to stand on.

Narcos: Rise of the Cartels is slated to release sometime in late 2019 for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
