Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ Renewed For 5th And Final Season

The Witcher is gearing up for an epic final season. Netflix renewed the series for a fifth last season, and confirmed that Season 4 was in production in an X/Twitter post.

A sneak peek at the Season 4 table read was released, and the stars of the show are hard at work on the new season. After Henry Cavill’s surprise departure from the show as Geralt of Rivia, Liam Hemsworth was chosen to be his replacement, and it looks like he won’t be filling the role for too long, with just two seasons left. Details are scarce on Season 5, but Netflix also teased that it would “bring this epic series to a fitting conclusion”, revealing nothing more.

As the curtain falls on the live-action adaptation of a beloved franchise, the series could still continue in animation, with the Nightmare of the Wolf animated prequel film being set in the past, and another animated film, set during Season 1, Sirens of the Deep, sending Geralt on more adventures.

Either way, it’s time to toss a coin to your Witcher, as The Witcher’s final season will take fans for one last ride across the Continent.
