Inside Xbox Talks Grounded, Gears Tactics & More Xbox Series X Details

The world may have seemingly been brought to a standstill due to the COVID-19/coronavirus situation, but that is not stopping Xbox and Microsoft from sharing more about the games coming to their system.

In a new Inside Xbox stream, we got more details about Obsidian Entertainment’s Grounded, Gears Tactics, a dive into the tech behind Xbox Series X, and more.

Xbox Series X

Fronted by Major Nelson/Larry Hryb, Xbox’s Jason Ronald was interviewed about the upcoming next-gen console. While some of the details shared were not new, the important caveat of having Xbox Series X titles on the internal solid-state drive, or Seagate Expansion Card, due to the performance requirements, will make things interested.

Basically, to have your Xbox Series X games run flawlessly, they need to be on the internal SSD or the Seagate Expansion card. Xbox One games can still be played from other external hard drives.

Gears Tactics

The short video snippet gave us a closer look at the XCOM-like take on the Gears series. The action is now focused on Kait Diaz’s father, Gabe Diaz, rather than the protagonist of the latest Gears 5. Executions are glorious, and they will have strategic value in this tactical experience.

Grounded

Obsidian’s upcoming open-world adventure got its first gameplay reveal during the show. Developed with the community’s input, you can make your voices heard now by getting in touch with the developers. Grounded will be coming to Xbox Game Preview and Steam Early Access on 28 July.

Project xCloud

The streaming service that is Project xCloud will be expanding its services to Japan and other territories. It will also be getting new games like Dragon Age: Inquisition, Unravel 2, and The Sims 4.

The Last Campfire

The next game from No Man’s Sky developers Hello Games, get ready for an emotional journey in this beautiful looking title.

Sea of Thieves

A new update will be coming to Sea of Thieves, which has made leaps and bounds since its debut. The Ships of Fortune update will add loads more content and a secret feature that Rare is not ready to unveil yet.

Xbox Game Pass

The Xbox Game Pass service looks to add more awesome games for your gaming pleasure. Yakuza Kiwami, Football Manager 2020, Journey to the Savage Planet, and more are coming to Xbox Game Pass in April.
