No Google, no problem. We’re pretty sure that’s how the internal mantra has been for Huawei since 2019.
While the Chinese company had the winds taken out of its sails momentarily, their latest range of 2021 MatePads have shown us that the tech giant has made great strides in ensuring that their customers’ favourite apps remain within Huawei’s own HarmonyOS ecosystem – even without the Google Play Store.
By tapping onto both the Huawei AppGallery and Petal Search, we’ve tested and sought out common apps that most folks in Singapore would use on a daily basis. The result is pretty positive, do check out the rundown of our experience above.
The bottom line here is that if you’re unable to find your preferred app on Huawei AppGallery, Petal Search will be your next stop. So even with the absence of Google Play Store, life still goes on for Huawei ending the perennial question of “How to install Google Play Store apps on Huawei devices?”
