Horizon Zero Dawn Sequel Possibly In The Works

When Horizon Zero Dawn was released in February 2017, it was met with positive reviews from both critics and gamers. There was no doubt that this game was a success and one of the best games to have been released that year.

Usually a game this successful would be on the top of the list to receive a sequel and by now would have a release date. However, two years have gone by and still, there is no news on whether fans will see a sequel of this beloved game.

While there isn’t any official news, the clues are slowly coming together. The first was when Janina Gavankar, who played Tatai in Horizon: Zero Dawn’s Frozen Wilds DLC accidentally spilt the beans to a fan saying “It’s incredible. Wait ’til you see the sequel. You’re gonna die – I know some secrets!”

The latest clue to the puzzle is a job posting on Guerilla’s website for a Technical Vegetation Artist. There are about 15 jobs open on their website and while some of them mention an action/open-world game, this was the only one that specified Horizon.

Rainbow Six Siege director, Simon Larouche has also been hired by Guerilla to work on a new project with the studio. Due to his expertise, many people believe that this could mean a multiplayer mode for the Horizon Zero Dawn sequel.

Before getting all worked up, we still have to wait for the official announcement that development for the Horizon Zero Dawn sequel is taking place. All we can really do right now is just imagine what it might look like.
