God of War Sequel May Be In The Works Thanks To Mocap Tease

The signs pointing to a sequel to God of War grow even more glaring.

Recently, Kim Newman, the 2018 Game of the Year’s Narrative Animator at Santa Monica Studio, posted up an image of her in a motion-capture (mocap) suit), saying that it “feels good to be back”.

To further support this potential hint at a sequel, Santa Monica Studio recently posted up several job listings, including Senior Narrative Animator (a role which Newman most likely took up), and several openings for Gameplay Animator. In November last year, they put up listings for Assistant Cinematic Director, which was stated to require “experience in martial arts or dance.” Curious.

Furthermore, there was a free GoW-themed PlayStation 4 theme released last year, in which a curious series of Nordic runes could be seen etched at on the boat where Kratos and Atreus are on. When translated, it reads “Ragnarok is coming.”

This, of course, is a very huge hint at what’s to come if a sequel were to be made, given the circumstances that were present at the… electrifying post-credit scene for God of War.

Remember this guy? Yeah, he’s got beef with Kratos.

If these factors aren’t most indicative of the God of War sequel being made, we don’t know what is.

In any case, all eyes are on director Corey Barlog to announce something.,
