Looks like the firing of The Mandalorian’s Gina Carano was not the only repercussion of her “abhorrent” social media posts.
Hasbro has announced that any future merchandise of Cara Dune will be scrapped as they no longer have plans to make any more action figurines based on Carano’s likeness.
Along with Cara Dune, Hasbro’s Star Wars The Black Series 6-inch line features many other characters from the show such as the IG-11, The Armorer and The Mandalorian himself.
Online retailer BigBadToyStore stated that after the Star Wars The Black Series Cara Dune 6″ The Mandalorian Action Figure was sold out last year, Hasbro had initially planned for another production run and was accepting pre-orders. Unfortunately for those collectors, existing pre-orders for the figurine are now all cancelled.
The figurine is now clearly in high demand, and we are already seeing massive price inflations via third-party sellers on Amazon starting from US$199.99.
Despite Cara Dune’s well-received character, it looks likely she will disappear quietly from the world of Star Wars.
