Whenever the universe of a TV show expands to create spinoffs, there is always one question at the top of fans’ minds – Will there a a crossover? In the case of The Boys and its latest spinoff Gen V, there is such a possibility.

The Boys and Gen V series creator Eric Kripke teased that he is open to the idea of a crossover, as long as it doesn’t impede the viewing experience for fans.

“I can neither confirm nor deny. Look, they exist in the same world and one of the joys of the shows is that the shows can sing to each other… As long as you don’t need to see the other show to enjoy the one you’re watching then we’re totally open to that stuff.” said Kripke (via Collider).

“It really bums me out when you’re watching a franchise and it’s like, ‘Oh, wait, did you watch the 12 other hours? Because you’re not gonna understand any of this unless you see that.’ And then, it starts to feel like homework. So, as long as you can just watch it and enjoy it then, yeah, we’re totally open to that kind of stuff.”

Thus far, Gen V has included cameos of characters from The Boys. This includes the likes of Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), The Deep (Chace Crawford), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie), Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) and Adam Bourke (P.J. Byrne).

Additionally, Jaz Sinclair’s Marie Moreau had already made an easter egg appearance in The Boys before Gen V was even released. The young student’s face was seen on a screen alongside other students at the Red River Institute in the third season of The Boys.

The first episode of Gen V is already streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The series is set in the diabolical world of The Boys and expands the universe to Godolkin University, the prestigious superhero-only college where students train to be the next generation of heroes.
