First impressions matter, especially when it comes to a major regional event like Gamescom Asia. With the 2023 iteration hosting a physical B2C (business-to-consumer) Entertainment Zone for the first time, exhibitors are all geared up to bring out the big guns.
Capcom, as the event headliner, is no exception to the rule. The industry giant will grace the show floor with a diverse roster of games, which includes hands-on sessions for visitors. The full lineup is as follows:
- Dragon’s Dogma 2
- Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy
- Exoprimal
- Resident Evil Village for iPhone and iPad
- Street Fighter 6
- Resident Evil 4 (VR Mode)
- Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat
- Street Fighter: Duel
Of the list, Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat and Street Fighter: Duel will join Resident Evil Village in offering a mobile gaming experience. Just like the latter, the former two bring their respective franchise’s demon-hunting combo action and brawling fun to Android and iOS devices. The demo, however, will only be played on Android phones during the event.
Esports enthusiasts, meanwhile, can look forward to the Capcom Pro Tour 2023 Offline Premier Singapore t-shirt giveaway. Capped at 1,024 players, the limited-edition swag is reserved for those who have registered for the tournament on the official event page.
Gamescom Asia 2023 takes place from 20 to 22 October at the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre. Apart from game demos, the Entertainment Zone will also feature tech and hardware, indie titles, stage shows, meet-and-greet sessions, merchandise, as well as the tabletop and esports experience.
