Capcom To Lead Gamescom Asia 2023’s First B2C Entertainment Zone

This coming October will see the 2023 edition of Gamescom Asia, which will take place from 19 to 22 October. While it is common to see plenty of business-related shindigs and networking events at the show, this year will be more interesting for consumers looking for their gaming fix. For the first time ever, Gamescom Asia will be hosting a physical B2C Entertainment Zone, and the show has already secured Japanese gaming giants Capcom as a partner.

From 20 to 22 October, the Entertainment Zone will welcome visitors with a showcase of trending games, interactive entertainment, and featured areas like indies, esports, cosplay, board games, group play zones, and more. Visitors can expect to experience games by indie and established studios, catch live performances, fuel up with refreshments, or bring home gaming merchandise.

“We are extremely excited to open the Entertainment Zone onsite to the public for the first time this year. We know it has been long anticipated by passionate fans and gamers and look forward to welcoming them to Gamescom Asia,” said Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director and Vice President, Asia-Pacific, of Koelnmesse Pte Ltd, the organiser of Gamescom Asia.

“As the team works to put up a good show this year with new highlights and expanded mainstays, we invite companies to join us and make Gamescom Asia the premier Southeast Asian destination to showcase and testbed their games, latest gaming products and services, and reach an audience that is unique to the region.”

The all-new Indie Wavemaker area for Gamescom Asia 2023 will definitely be worth a look as well, where players can engage with indie developers to provide valuable feedback. As for the teams working hard, this could be the right time to find the right match when it comes to publishers and investors.

For those unable to make it, you can be part of the festivities online via PRIMETIME and STUDIO, which will return on 19 and 22 October, respectively, providing sneak peeks and other extended content for audiences around the world.

Ticket sales for the public for Gamescom Asia 2023 will open near the end of July. As for trade and industry visitors, tickets for the B2B and trade areas can already be purchased.
