The electrifying new trailer for Furiosa teases an adrenaline-fueled showdown between the fierce Imperator Furiosa played by Anya Taylor-Joy (Split, The Super Mario Bros. Movie) and Chris Hemsworth‘s (Thor: Love and Thunder, Extraction) Warlord Dementus.

Coming from Warner Bros., this latest glimpse into this post-apocalyptic world promises a thrilling ride when it hits theaters on 24 May 2024. Starting with a flashback to Furiosa’s harrowing abduction by a ruthless gang of marauders in her youth, the trailer depicts her transformation into a warrior with short cropped hair and signature robot robotic arm prosthetic. As a young adult, Furiosa embarks on a relentless quest for vengeance against the formidable Warlord Dementus, while seeking to reclaim her freedom and find her way back to the fabled Green Place of Many Mothers, setting the stage for an epic showdown filled with action and intrigue.

Helmed by George Miller, the visionary behind the iconic Mad Max universe, Furiosa is poised to deliver a heart-pounding spectacle. Miller penned the script alongside co-writer Nico Lathouris, who also worked on Mad Max: Fury Road.

Mad Max: Fury Road set the stage for Furiosa‘s epic journey in 2015, captivating audiences worldwide and raking in over US$375 million at the global box office before securing six Academy Awards, cementing its status as a modern classic in the action genre.

Warner Bros. has confirmed that Furiosa will also be screening in IMAX.
