FIFA 20 Crowd Noises Will Be Used For Premier League Live Matches In Isolated Stadiums

One of the biggest things many football fans are looking forward to amid all the coronavirus hullabaloo is, well, getting to watch live football again.

However, as many top-tier football leagues look to resume their respective seasons to completion, many precautions will have to be taken to enforce social distancing as the COVID-19 outbreak continues to impact daily life.

The organisers for the returning English Premier League have quite an interesting solution to aid the atmosphere of upcoming games, whose stadiums will be empty due to social distancing measures. And that solution, interestingly, involves FIFA 20.

In conjunction with Sky Sports, EA Sports will be providing crowd noises from FIFA 20 to help “bring the vibrant atmosphere of the Premier League to the restart.” The crowd noises will actually be an option to viewers, and can be toggled on or off depending on their preferences.

To make things a little more authentic, there will be team-specific chants to each team playing in their home stadiums. As such, Liverpool FC’s iconic “You’ll Never Walk Alone” will play at Anfield, as will Tottenham Hotspur’s “When the Spurs Come Marching In” at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and so on.

While it won’t exactly be the most ideal replacement for live chanting and cheering, the option to include crowd noises to matches come the EPL restart will no doubt add some much-needed atmosphere to upcoming games.
