Potterheads, your Hogwarts acceptance letter has arrived early!
Not long after the first teaser for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery has been released, mobile game studio Jam City has opened up pre-registration for interested parties on the Google Play Store, who will be the first to be notified of the game’s launch.
Unfortunately for their Apple counterparts, however, the option to pre-register has yet to be made available, although it’s more than likely that the window period would come sooner than later, considering how the AR title is releasing on the iOS platform as well.
For the uninitiated, here’s a brief description of the game:
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is the first mobile game where players can create their own character and experience life as a Hogwarts student. In the narrative adventure with RPG elements, players will create a personalized student avatar, attend classes, learn magical skills, and form friendships or rivalries with other students. In the game, players make pivotal decisions that influence their character’s story arc at Hogwarts. The game features a new encounter system where player decisions and actions impact their quests, allowing Harry Potter fans to create their own legacy as a witch or wizard.
To go along with this piece of news, a second trailer for Hogwarts Mystery has also been unveiled, with more focus on gameplay mechanics, and an accompanying voiceover to boot – spelling double happiness for members of the Harry Potter community.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will be heading to both Android and iOS in Spring 2018, where players can finally be sorted into the house of their choice.
