The Dyson V15 Detect Absolute (HEPA) cordless vacuum cleaner, launched last year, that has 240 air watts, laser dust detection, smart data, and a high-efficiency particulate absorbing (HEPA) filter is finally available in Singapore for S$1,349. You can pair it with the new Scratch Free Dusting Brush, Awkward Gap Tool and Pet Groom Tool attachments to reliably clean any part of your house, including your pets.
The V15 is Dyson’s most hygienic vacuum with its best-ever filtration in a cordless vacuum yet. It is said to provide 50 percent more suction and has 220 percent more bin space compared to the V12, which we found to be pretty good.
It uses a 5-stage advanced filtration tech to capture 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. With the HEPA filter, it grabs even ultra-fine particles such as pet dander so you capture even more stuff you cannot see, removing 99.97 percent of particles of 0.1 microns. What this means is that almost anything it sucks in will stay in the bin, leaving the places it vacuums as clean as can be.
To help you know which parts of your home haven’t been cleaned yet, the Dyson V15 has a green laser diode built into the Slim Fluffy cleaner head. It shines a light that can illuminate hidden dust on surfaces that is otherwise invisible to our eyes.
You also get real-time data of what has been picked up by the vacuum as it goes through your house. The acoustic piezo sensors within the bin detect the vibrations caused by the dust collected by the vacuum. They then translate the data into dust size ranges and quantity, which are shown to you on the back LCD screen.
But more than just info for info’s sake, the piezo sensors also serve another purpose. It feeds into the Dyson V15’s auto mode. If the sensors detect a high concentration of dust, the vacuum cleaner automatically increases its suction power to compensate for the higher demand in workload. When that goes down, the suction power is reduced accordingly.
The cordless vacuum can last up to 60 minutes of cleaning time depending on suction power demand. The battery can easily be removed at the press of a button, and can be charged on or off the machine.
It comes with a set of 2 cleaner heads and 10 tools and accessories that lets you clean all sorts of surfaces and hard-to-reach areas. You can grab long hairs and pet hairs with its anti-tangle hair screw tool, clean mattresses, or remove stubborn dirt with its various tools. But if you need even more options, there are additional attachments that you can purchase.
The S$99 Scratch Free Dusting Brush & Awkward Gap Tool set gives you a self-cleaning ultra-soft dusting brush to clean really delicate surfaces as well as tight awkward spaces and narrow gaps.
For S$99 as well, you could get the Pet Groom Tool that helps you groom your furry friends quickly and comfortably. Its flexible 364-bristle head helps reach through your pet’s coat to grab loose hairs, dander and microscopic skin flakes at the press of a button.
These new accessories are backward compatible with V8, V10, V11, V12, V15 and Digital Slim vacuums as well.
The Dyson V15 Detect Absolute (HEPA) can be purchased from Dyson now for S$1,349. A non-HEPA filter version is also available for S$1,299.
