Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance Arrives On Xbox Game Pass From Day One

With current-gen games pushing US$70 and upwards at launch, it’s nice to see that Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance will be easy on the wallet. As long as you’re on Xbox Game Pass that is.

We’ve always been behind the Xbox Game Pass service considering it delivers solid value all round. While there have been limited availability with Outriders recently with the title being restricted to top tier Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers only no such barriers exist with Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance.

At launch, Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance will be available across all Xbox Game Pass subscribers. The best part of it all, the 4-player action RPG will feature crossplay between consoles and PC at launch as well.

The premise of Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance follows the first Drizzt Do’Urden novel, The Crystal Shard. This particular magic crystal, the Crenshinibon, contains incredibly powerful magic that grants incredible magical powers to whoever wields it. The goal of the action RPG would be for Drizzt, Bruenor Battlehammer, Cattie-brie, and Wulfgar to stop the various factions looking to get hold of the Crenshinibon.

Forgotten Realms as a Dungeons & Dragons setting is making a big push across a variety of mediums with even a Magic: The Gathering tie-in arriving around the same time as well.

Let’s just hope that Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance does not fall to the same fate which Outriders did.
