Disney Parks will bring more magic to its attractions, with a planned expansion into Pandora in its Avatar-themed zone, a refreshed Star Tours experience, and a new Tropical Americas area based on Encanto and Indiana Jones.
Star Tours, one of Disneyland’s most long-running and beloved Star Wars rides which takes guests on a randomised adventure across the Star Wars universe, will get an update. The new offerings include ride scenarios based on Ahsoka, Andor, or The Mandalorian, with 250 randomly-chosen scenarios to experience.
Disney also released concept art of the Avatar-themed zone, giving park-goers a more in-depth look at Pandora. It looks like we’ll be getting a water ride if the art is anything to go by, and a true-to-form rendition of the setting from James Cameron’s iconic franchise.
Another new area, Tropical America, is also in the works, and from first looks it’s heavily inspired by Encanto, and teased to have elements of Indiana Jones in it, spanning a large area of the park. The Madrigals’ Casita will also be a prominent part of the area from the concept art, and it could potentially be interactive.
With plenty of upcoming attractions in store for the Disney Parks expansion, Disneyland is setting a course to infinity and beyond.
