It’s time to embark on another choose-your-own-adventure game with Carmen Sandiego for her interactive Netflix special.
Carmen Sandiego first burst into the scene in 1985, making everyone ask the age-old question Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? She subsequently went on to star in various educational titles for young kids in the ‘80s and ‘90s, before making a return to Netflix with an animated series in 2019.
The 45-minute interactive episode, titled Carmen Sandiego: To Steal or Not to Steal? will follow the animated show and will give viewers the ability to make choices to dictate Carmen’s actions throughout the story.
This mechanic is similar to other interactive movies and shows on Netflix, such as Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and Minecraft: Story Mode. This allows viewers to be more than passive audiences, having the power to influence the path the episode takes.
“Don a disguise or fly away? Stick to the plan or go rogue? Carmen’s on a mission — and she needs your help,” reads the description of the special episode.
Carmen Sandiego: To Steal or Not to Steal will hit Netflix on 10 March 2020.
