Boba Fett Is One Hundred Per Cent Dead

The Star Wars Boba Fett prequel film is apparently as dead as its leading character — jetted straight into a Sarlacc pit, never to be seen again. Critics Choice Association journalist Erick Weber heard it straight from Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy’s mouth at a Black Panther awards reception, according to his tweet right here:

The news doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, considering how Lucasfilm put a halt to a number of their Star Wars projects, after Solo: A Star Wars Story under-performed in box office numbers. And it’s not like we won’t be revisiting our intergalactic bounty hunters already, with The Mandalorian television series set to premiere on Disney’s streaming service.

While the iconic armoured badass (discounting that unimpressive demise) will be dearly missed by his fans, there are plenty of other entries to the Star Wars franchise — like a comedic animated spin-off helmed by Rick and Morty’s Mike McMahan — that will do well to sate your appetites in the upcoming future.
