‘Barbenheimer’ Pulls Explosive US$1 Billion At The Global Box Office In 10 Days

Barbie and Oppenheimer aka Barbenheimer continue to rule the box office in their second week of release. In just 9 days, the two movies have made a collective amount of US$1.17 billion.

Greta Gerwig’s Barbie has taken the top spot at the global box office with US$774.5 million and will likely become the second film of the year to pass US$1 billion. Barbie has also become the third-biggest film of the year worldwide when it passed the half-a-billion mark three days ago and broke box office records as the biggest opening weekend for a movie directed by a woman.

As for Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, the movie has a running total of US$400.4 million. It is estimated to be the biggest Nolan film of all time in 28 markets including India, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Turkey. At the moment, Oppenheimer holds the 10th position among this year’s biggest Hollywood films.
