AnimeJapan 2025 Spotlights ‘Chainsaw Man — The Movie: Reze Arc’, ‘Jujutsu Kaisen Hidden Inventory’, ‘Disney Twisted-Wonderland’ & More

The past weekend has been a celebration of all things anime, and it seems there will be plenty for fans to look forward to for the year. Held from 22 to 25 March, with the latter two days limited to registered members of the industry and media, AnimeJapan 2025 didn’t hold back on showcasing its stacked lineup, including updates on existing series and fresh looks at upcoming projects.

As usual, returning favourites led the charge for the event’s most-attended iteration in its 11-year history (via Anime News Network), but smaller and new releases got their fair share of the spotlight, too. My Hero Academia, for starters, is set to close out this October when its final season drops, while Chainsaw Man — The Movie: Reze Arc revs up its theatrical premiere on 19 September in Japan.

The highly-anticipated Jujutsu Kaisen Hidden Inventory Arc compilation movie also received a new trailer that previews an acoustic version of Tatsuya Kitani’s “Where Our Blue Is,” previously used as the opening theme song for the TV anime version of the arc, alongside a new teaser trailer for Kaiju No. 8 Season 2, in which Gen Narumi, the seventh captain of the Defense Force’s First Division, makes his debut.

Where season premieres and original series are concerned, The Summer Hikaru Died, based on Mokumokuren’s horror manga, Disney Twisted-Wonderland, the long-awaited anime adaptation of the adventure mobile game, and Wit Studio’s original sci-fi anime Moonrise all feed into the hype.

There’s no forgetting the host of teaser visuals, of course, starting with the announcement of Tokyo Revengers: War of the Three Titans and its tagline, “I won’t let you die.” Elsewhere, the One Piece will air a double episode to celebrate the return of the Egghead Arc and an accompanying recap special, joining a new Oshi no Ko Season 3 image featuring Aqua, a new key visual for Sakamoto Days Part 2, and a fresh look at the Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX anime.

Here are the trailers for the above-mentioned titles:
