Bethesda Softworks and MachineGames’ action-adventure hit Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is braving uncharted territory… literally. Four months after launch, the previously Xbox-console-exclusive title will make its way to the PlayStation 5 on 17 April.
The game’s PS5 release was announced via a cheeky trailer which featured Troy Baker, who played Indy in the game, alongside another of gaming’s most recognisable actors, Nolan North, best known for his role as Nathan Drake in PlayStation’s Uncharted franchise. Check out the trailer below:
This meeting of the actors certainly marks a pivotal moment for both games, as the Uncharted series, as well as its protagonist Drake, was heavily inspired by Indiana Jones, making the pair’s appearance side by side to promote the game’s arrival on the console extra heartwarming.
It is to be noted that the Uncharted franchise is never explicitly mentioned in the trailer, probably to avoid possible legal issues, but the nods are obvious and tongue-in-cheek, with North suggesting that he had just broken into the artefact-filled room and doesn’t have much time to talk, with lines filled with references to Uncharted’s Drake such as how he’s “more of a sidearm kinda guy”, and that his go-to outfit for exploration is jeans and a henley that’s “somehow always half-tucked”.

After a humourous back-and-forth about ancient artefacts and how they each would deal with them, North welcomes Baker to the PlayStation family, stating: “What is an adventure without going somewhere new?”, heralding the arrival of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on the console, taking its place alongside fellow treasure-hunter Drake.
Of course, the game’s eventual move to Sony’s console doesn’t come as a surprise considering Microsoft’s recently established push for multiplatform support for its games, joining the likes of Forza Horizon 5 and Doom: The Dark Ages, which are both set for release on the PS5 alongside Xbox in April.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has already seen its fair share of success, reaching 4 million players as of January this year, a figure undoubtedly helped by its day-one release on Xbox Game Pass. This number is now set to see a massive boost when the game launches for the PS5 on 17 April 2025, with pre-orders granting early access on 15 April.
