After an incredibly long wait, Starz has finally released a trailer for the third season of American Gods.
The trailer was shown at the NYCC 2020 panel today with cast members Ricky Whittle (Shadow Moon), Emily Browning (Laura Moon), Omid Abtahi (Salim), Bruce Langley (Technical Boy), Tetide Badaki (Bilquis), Ashley Reyes (new character Cordelia), and writer Neil Gaiman.
As seen in the trailer, season 3 is set in and around the mystical town of Lakeside and prepares viewers an upcoming battle between the Old Gods led by Odin (Ian McShane) and the New Gods of technology and digital media.
The trailer sees flashbacks of Shadow Moon as a child and then ends with the main protagonist finally accepting who he is – “I am a God”.
It’s an intense trailer showing sneaks of Marilyn Manson’s character Johan Wengren and the Gods in all their might and power. Pair that with Superhuman’s cover of Frank Sinatra’s My Way and you’ve got yourself a masterpiece.
Season 3 of American Gods premieres 10 January 2021.
Don’t judge a book by its cover, for behind all this makeup, is a geek just like you. To simply put it, superheroes, Star Wars, Harry Potter and all things gore and creepy makes this girly girl swoon.
