We're stunned and amazed how many fans have enjoyed our games 🤯😍
A Way Out: 13 Million
It Takes Two: 30 Million
Split Fiction: 7 Million
Your love and support keeps us going and we can't wait to show you our fourth game… 😉 pic.twitter.com/mVmy9CaUDM
Taking to social media, Hazelight dropped the announcement alongside the individual sales figures for each of its three titles. 2021’s It Takes Two led the charge by a long shot with 30 million sales, followed by the studio’s first title, 2018’s A Way Out, which clocked in at 13 million sales, and finally, its newest game, 2025’s Split Fiction, which sold 7 million copies.
Known for its tight, co-op online adventures, it’s no surprise that Hazelight’s titles have sold so well, especially considering each one offers a unique experience, from A Way Out’s thrilling crime drama to It Takes Two’s emotional storytelling and Split Fiction’s genre-bending puzzle action.
Hazelight’s celebratory post ended in an exciting tease for things to come, as it wrote that the studio “can’t wait to show you our fourth game”. Earlier in February, Josef Fares, founder of Hazelight Studios, revealed that the team was working on an unnamed fourth game following the success of Split Fiction, which sold 1 million copies within a day of its launch.

The existence of this next title was also teased to a very dedicated group of fans, more specifically, the first two Split Fiction players who managed to complete the game’s ultra-difficult secret laser level, who were subsequently invited to Hazelight’s studio in Sweden for an early look at the upcoming game.
