‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Brings Uma Thurman Back For Season 2

Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection will mark the return of a familiar face, and it’s none other than Uma Thurman. As Variety reports, the Kill Bill star is set to reprise her role in the sophomore outing as Charley, a former special operations officer who worked for Peter Dinklage’s Leon Prater.

The announcement comes after Brian Cox (Succession) was cast as Don Framt, otherwise known as the New York Ripper, who was mentioned in the show’s first season. Alongside the pair, the sequel series also stars Michael C. Hall as the titular serial killer and Jack Alcott as his son Harrison Morgan.

Details on Charley’s return in the second season are under lock and key for now, but the character was last seen fleeing New York to care for her terminally ill mother. A release date has yet to be announced, and no additional story details were shared.

Dexter: Resurrection was created by original series helmer Clyde Phillips, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer, alongside Hall, Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Veronica West, Kirsa Rein, Tanner Bean, and Katrina Mathewson.

The show premiered last July and is set after the events of Dexter: New Blood, tracing Dexter’s efforts to trace a missing Harrison to New York City after recovering from a near-fatal gunshot wound, only to discover that his past is catching up with him faster than he realised. It comprises 10 episodes and was renewed for a second season in October 2025.
