Creed-verse Expands With ‘Creed IV’ As Star Michael B Jordan Outlines Amazon Spin-Off Series

Michael B. Jordan has ambitious plans to build a Creed-verse, as the actor and director has given some updates on the upcoming sequel, Creed IV, alongside additional plot details on the franchise’s previously announced spin-off series.

Speaking to Variety about his recent and upcoming works, like this year’s Sinners, alongside an upcoming remake of the 1968 heist film The Thomas Crown Affair, Jordan also gave some positive news on the Creed franchise, stating that its fourth chapter is “eventually” and “definitely” coming, and that “there’s a bit more story to be mined through that”, although it might be a ways off until fans witness Adonis Creed’s return to the ring.

Additionally, Jordan also unveiled some new information on the upcoming Creed spin-off Amazon series, which was initially announced in May this year under the working title Delphi. While previously reported to be focused on young boxers, Jordan has now announced that the show will place the spotlight on Adonis’ daughter, Amara. “You’ll be seeing different parts of the Creed-verse,” he explained, “These little IPs are going to keep the universe alive without it being completely reliant on just me to push it through the finish line every time as a boxer.” With more details now on the spin-offs narrative, it’s also unclear if it will retain its previously announced Delphi title.

Creed 2 (2018)

Amara was originally played by deaf actress Mila Davis-Kent in 2023’s Creed III, but it’s possible that she might be recast depending on the character’s planned age in the spin-off. Jordan, on the other hand, portrayed Adonis in all three films, which began in 2015 as the reinvigoration of Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky franchise, with the 38-year-old also pulling double duty as both the film’s star and its director for Creed III. The threequel would go on to become a box office hit, accumulating a global box office of US$276.1 million on its US$75 million budget, so it’s no surprise that it’s now spawning a Creed-verse with a follow-up and spin-off, no matter how long they might take.
