‘Creed’ Spin-off, ‘Reacher’ Season 5, Muhammad Ali Series & More Added To Amazon TV Slate

The future of Prime Video has been outlined, starting with a confirmation of its upcoming slate. During Amazon’s upfront presentation to advertisers at New York’s Beacon Theatre, Sinners star Michael B. Jordan shared details about a trio of projects he’s producing for the streamer: The Greatest, a biographical series centred on legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, Creed spin-off Delphi, and Fourth Wing.

The first-ever project about Ali’s life authorised by his estate, the show will chart the sportsman’s early days as Cassius Clay to his rise to world champion, with his wife, Lonnie Ali, serving as consultant. Continuing in the spirit of fighting is Delphi, which shifts the focus to the young boxers at the titular gym from the Rocky and Creed films, as previously reported. La Máquina creator Marco Ramirez is on board as showrunner, and production has now been set for 18 May in Los Angeles.

“The series that takes us back to where it all began,” the newly crowned Oscar winner said previously. “What I love about this story is that it stays true to what the Rocky and Creed franchise is all about: hard work, determination, fighting for something bigger than yourself. It’s about family, the ones we’re born into and the ones that we created. We’re building something special here, and I’m excited to introduce you to new fighters that will walk into the Delphi. As always, in Creed we say, one step, one round, one punch at a time.”

Meanwhile, the final title is set to step away from the ring. An adaptation of Rebecca Yarros’ best-selling romantasy novel, Fourth Wing is moving forward with the author and Jordan as executive producers, alongside showrunner Meredith Averill and Westworld‘s Lisa Joy, who will direct the pilot episode.

Also in the pipeline is Season 5 of Reacher, announced ahead of its fourth season premiere. Based on the 13th book in Lee Child’s Jack Reacher book franchise, Gone Tomorrow, Season 4 is tagged with the following tagline: “When a chance encounter with a distraught stranger on a subway goes horribly wrong, Jack Reacher is drawn into a complex and deadly game that pits him against ruthless foes from the highest echelons of power.”

Separately, the third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has locked in an 11 November 2026 release. It will jump forward several years from the events of the sequel series to “the height of the War of the Elves and Sauron, as the Dark Lord seeks to craft the One Ring that will give him the edge he needs to win the war, bind all peoples to his will — and at last rule all Middle-earth.” Charlotte Brändström, known for her work on Shōgun, returns as executive producer and director after helming multiple episodes in the first two outings.
