If you thought the six-hour long Rebel Moon supercut for mature audiences would be the end, director Zack Snyder (Justice League) has more in store for the franchise, teasing more movies to come, and that he’s been working on a Rebel Moon Part Three.
In an interview with Forbes, Snyder shared that “We have definitely been working on a Part Three, as far as the story goes. We definitely know where we’re all headed – we’ve known that for quite a while, to be honest. So yeah, I’m excited to make some more Rebel Moon movies – that would be fun.”
Rebel Moon Part One: A Child Of Fire’s novelisation was recently released, which gave the plot more depth and worldbuilding, so a potential third film could explore plot threads hinted at.
Once the R-rated director’s cut has been approved by the Motion Picture Association of America, Snyder plans to release the films “probably sometime in August.” Until then, Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver will be available for streaming on Netflix on 19 April 2024.
