‘Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver’ Trailer Looks Capable Of Redeeming Part 1

Netflix released its official trailer for Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver, which will end the duology with an explosive space battle, but that’s not all. Director Zack Snyder’s six-hour supercut of both movies has yet to be released, which will up the film’s rating from PG-13 to for mature audiences.

Kora (Sofia Boutella) is back in action, and her crew will have to face down Admiral Atticus Noble once more, this time with a bigger armada. The trailer hints at plenty of action to come, and new lightsaber-esque weapons, as the villagers of Veldt train to defend their home. On the eve of their battle the warriors must face the truths of their own pasts, each revealing why they fight. As the full force of the Realm bears down on the burgeoning rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, heroes emerge, and legends are made.

Jimmy (Anthony Hopkins) gets plenty of moments to shine in the trailer, and the android teams up with Kora’s crew of revolutionaries to fight against the Motherworld, setting the stage for an epic space battle. Alternative rock group Audioslave provides the soundtrack for the trailer, set to ‘Cochise’, which ramps up the action.

Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver releases on Netflix on 19 April 2024.
