Rebel Moon isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, if Zack Snyder has anything to say about it. The director revealed in an interview with RadioTimes.com that there are plans for six movies in the franchise, ahead of the release of Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver.
Synder also confirmed that “we absolutely have the story all set, we did all that work. We wrote a treatment for the movie so we’ll see how we go ahead,” for a potential third movie, once it gets greenlit by Netflix.
He teased that Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver would have an “insane third act battle” that was “completely crazy”, and fans could expect a “next chapter that really takes and answers all these questions from Part One, and really sort of completes this four-hour experience.”
While the first two Rebel Moon movies were one cohesive story split across too halves, Synder isn’t so sure if he will use the same formula for the next few movies. “I guess four makes sense. Four or six movies, depending… I guess it’s whether or not every time we make one of these movies we make two, that’s the question.”
