CD Projek’s upcoming RPG Cyberpunk 2077 has been making waves ever since it was first revealed back in 2018. April saw the reveal of the limited edition Xbox One X console and Johnny Silverhand-inspired Xbox Wireless Controller, and just a couple of days ago, we learned that the game will allow players to customise and even combine their avatar’s genitals.
This time, a teaser for an upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 fan film “Phoenix Program” has been posted up, which stars Johnny Silverhand (Keanu Reeves) pulling off some slick John Wick moves. The fan film by T7 Production is directed by action movie director Vi-Dan Tran, and starring a group of cosplayers, led by Maul Cosplay, best known for his Darth Maul (duh) and Geralt cosplay. It’s amazing how much he looks like Keanu Reeves with shades on.
Some might remember T7 Production’s other epic fan film from 4 years ago, Darth Maul: Apprentice, which has 25 million views now. It was also directed by Vi-Dan Tran and starred Maul Cosplay.
The production values are top-notch, and has gotten us even more hyped for the game. But bring on the full film first please, or make it into an official full-length feature film for digital release even! However, due to the COVID-19 situation, the team hasn’t been able to finish shooting just yet, so we’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed for now.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on 17 September 2020.
