After its impressively long run of 15 seasons, Supernatural is coming to a close. And although things are slowing down on the CW set, things are about to pick up for Jared Padalecki.
Jared Padalecki plays Sam Winchester on Supernatural and is also known for his role as Dean in Gilmore Girls. But now, Jared is going back to his Texan roots by starring and executive producing the hit 90s show, Walker, Texas Ranger.
This iteration of Walker, Texas Ranger follows the story of Cordell Walker. A widower and father of two, Cordell returns home to Texas after being undercover for the past two years. Solving crimes in the state’s most elite unit, the Texas Rangers, he learns that he has more work to do back home.
Similar to the original series which aired on CBS and starred Chuck Norris, Cordell will be paired with a female partner. However, in this reboot, she will be one of the only women in Texa Ranger history.
There is no news as to which network will be airing the series, but both CW and CBS are major contenders in this field. CW, the long-standing home to Jared Padalecki and CBS, the original network for Walker, Texas Ranger.
