The world of Valisthea promises a lot of firsts, so it’s only stands that its arrival is graced with a magnificent-looking Final Fantasy XVI Collector’s Edition. Priced at S$499.90, this premium offering packs in plenty of goodies, starting off strong with a metallic-sheen box featuring artwork by the legendary Final Fantasy series illustrator Yoshitaka Amano.
On the inside lies a handsome set of collectibles fit for any enthusiast, including a pin collection featuring all eight Eikons (Ifrit, Phoenix, Shiva, Garuda, Ramuh, Odin, Titan, and Bahamut), and a majestic figure. The full list of content is as follows:
- Premium Statue — Phoenix vs Ifrit (230mm x 150mm x 270mm)
- Metal Eikon Pin Collection
- Special Clive Rosfield SteelBook Case
- Cloth World Map of Valisthea
- Digital content:
- Bonus weapon: Blood Sword (Collector’s Edition in-game item)
- Bonus weapon: Braveheart (pre-order bonus in-game item)
- Bonus accessory: Caith Sith Charm
- Bonus accessory: Scholar’s Spectacles (Collector’s Edition bonus in-game item)
The statue is easily the standout here, impressing with its extremely fine detail. From Phoenix’s flaming wings to the vibrant hues of both Eikons, it’s a true sight to behold, and brings out the excitement of delving into a Summon-versus-Summon battle for the first time in the series’ history. It’s neatly complemented by the rest of the lineup, serving as a nice nod to the game — and an apt celebration of its upcoming release.
Final Fantasy XVI is coming to the PlayStation 5 on 22 June 2023. In the meantime, feast your eyes on the images and check out our unboxing of the Final Fantasy XVI Collector’s Edition above.
