Ubisoft’s Avatar Game Delayed To 2022

Much like how James Cameron’s Avatar sequel got delayed till 2022, Ubisoft’s movie tie-in game sequel to the 2009 Avatar: The Game has also been delayed to, you guessed it, 2022.

News of its delay came via Ubisoft’s latest financial report, where it explicitly stated that the second Avatar game will not be released till April 2022 at the earliest. The reason for the game’s delay is so that it will line up with the release of the film, which got pushed back till December 2022.

Not much is known about the upcoming video game, which does not even have an official title yet, aside from how it is developed by Massive Entertainment, the studio behind Tom Clancy’s The Division, alongside Fox Interaction and Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment.

With the game delayed, this will hopefully give those working on it more time to create the best Avatar game possible, with no need for crunch which the gaming industry is notorious for.
