It’s been eight years since the last Batman: Arkham game released in 2016, and now, the caped crusader is back in action for Batman: Arkham Shadow, the newest game in the franchise which will be exclusively available in VR on the Meta Quest 3.
Oculus Studios and Camouflaj Inc are behind the project, with the latter most known for the Iron Man VR game in 2020. A teaser trailer was released, giving gamers a brief glimpse behind the curtain. Batman is back in action stalking the streets in search of rats in the trailer, and fans have speculated this could possibly hint at Ratcatcher being an antagonist in the game, but the brief trailer revealed no further clues.
No voice casting details have been announced yet, but we have a brief blurb: Evil stalks the streets. Gotham City is in danger. And you’re the only one who can save it.
More details are set to be unveiled at Batman: Arkham Shadow’s official reveal at the Summer Game Fest on 7 June 2024.
