Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six has always been at the forefront of the tactical shooter genre, keeping players engaged in competitive team-based shootouts for years. It is no surprise Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege remains popular, and marking the 10th anniversary of the game, the publisher has announced a complete gameplay overhaul and a change of title to Rainbow Six Siege X.

An official blog post by Ubisoft stated that aside from the retitling, the game will face its “biggest transformation” in its history by introducing “new ways to play, deepened tactical gameplay, refined game feel and major upgrades all around.”. The overhaul reinforces the franchise’s position as the leading tactical first-person shooter. The news also came with a teaser.
